As a logistics coordinator in the U.S., I was looking for a course that could help me understand the shift toward sustainable shipping practices. The 'Sustainable Shipping and Decarbonization' course at Stanmore School of Business exceeded my expectations. The modules on carbon footprint calculation and alternative fuels were incredibly practical—I now use the tools provided to analyze our company’s emissions and propose reduction strategies. The case studies on Maersk’s decarbonization journey were particularly insightful. The instructors were responsive, and the course materials were well-structured. Highly recommend this course to anyone in the shipping industry looking to stay ahead of regulatory changes and environmental trends.
I enrolled in this course to deepen my knowledge of sustainable shipping as an Italian maritime engineer. The content was thorough, covering everything from LNG-powered vessels to port decarbonization strategies. What stood out was the focus on real-world applications—like designing a zero-emission shipping route for a Mediterranean route. The readings on the EU’s Emissions Trading System (ETS) were particularly useful for my work. The only reason I’m not giving a 5-star rating is that some of the quizzes felt a bit repetitive. But overall, a solid course with excellent resources.
As a supply chain consultant in Mumbai, I was thrilled to find this course! The 'Sustainable Shipping and Decarbonization' program gave me a comprehensive overview of green shipping technologies and policies. I loved the module on hydrogen fuel cells—I now have a clearer picture of how they could revolutionize short-sea shipping in India. The instructor’s expertise in IMO regulations was invaluable, and the peer discussions in the forums were eye-opening. After completing the course, I was able to advise a client on transitioning to biofuels, which was a huge win. Stanmore’s platform is user-friendly, and the support team was quick to resolve my queries. 10/10!
I signed up for this course to understand how Ghana’s shipping sector can adopt greener practices. The modules on port electrification and waste management were spot-on for my role in a local port authority. I especially appreciated the focus on Africa-specific challenges, like limited infrastructure for alternative fuels. The course materials included reports from the African Maritime Transport Charter, which I’ve since shared with my team. The final project on designing a decarbonization roadmap for our port was challenging but rewarding—I gained skills I use daily. The only downside was that some video lectures were a bit slow-paced. Still, the knowledge I gained was worth the effort!
