I recently completed the 'Environmental Communication' course at Stanmore School of Business, and it exceeded all my expectations. As a marketing professional looking to pivot into sustainability-focused roles, I needed a course that could bridge my existing skills with the growing demand for environmental literacy in business. This course delivered precisely that. The modules on crafting compelling narratives around environmental data were particularly eye-opening—I learned how to transform dry statistics into engaging stories that resonate with stakeholders. The final project, where we developed a campaign for a hypothetical company’s sustainability report, was a highlight. I received fantastic feedback from my instructor, who pointed out areas for improvement that directly aligned with real-world expectations in the industry. The course materials were top-notch, with up-to-date case studies from companies like Patagonia and Unilever. I’ve already applied some of these strategies in my current role, and my team has noticed the improvement in our sustainability communications. Highly recommend this course to anyone looking to make a tangible impact in environmental advocacy through effective communication.

I took the 'Environmental Communication' course while studying Environmental Science in Paris, and it was a fantastic supplement to my degree. The course helped me understand how to translate complex environmental concepts into accessible language, which is something my university program didn’t cover in depth. I especially appreciated the section on social media strategies for environmental campaigns—it was practical and immediately applicable. The instructor was great at providing real-world examples, like how WWF uses Instagram to raise awareness about deforestation. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is that some of the peer-reviewed articles in the reading list were a bit dense, but that’s probably unavoidable given the subject matter. Overall, though, this course gave me the confidence to approach environmental communication from a more strategic angle, and I’ve already used some of the techniques in group projects at uni. Worth every euro!

Wow, just wow! The 'Environmental Communication' course at Stanmore was a game-changer for me. As someone working in corporate sustainability in Mumbai, I was looking for ways to improve our external communications to better engage our stakeholders. This course was exactly what I needed. The modules on crisis communication were incredibly relevant—I never realized how critical it is to have a pre-prepared plan for environmental controversies until I took this course. The case study on the 2010 BP oil spill was a real eye-opener, and the instructor’s breakdown of how poor communication exacerbated the crisis was invaluable. I also loved the section on multicultural communication; as a global company, we often struggle with tailoring messages for different regions, and the tips I learned here were spot-on. The course materials were well-organized, and the discussion forums were surprisingly engaging—I even connected with a few peers from South Africa and Brazil who shared some local insights that were super useful. I’ve already recommended this course to my colleagues, and they’re keen to sign up. 10/10 experience!

I enrolled in the 'Environmental Communication' course on a whim, not sure what to expect, but it turned out to be one of the most fulfilling learning experiences I’ve had. As an environmental educator in Cape Town, I was looking for fresh ideas to make my lessons more impactful, and this course delivered. The section on interactive learning tools, like gamification and storytelling techniques, gave me a whole new toolkit to use in my classroom. For example, I now use role-playing scenarios where students act as different stakeholders in a water management debate—it’s way more engaging than just lecturing. The course also emphasized the importance of localizing global environmental messages, which is crucial here in South Africa where issues like water scarcity vary so much by region. The materials were high-quality, though I did find some of the assignments a bit time-consuming given my full-time job. Still, the ROI in terms of new skills and confidence is undeniable. I’ve already seen a difference in how my students engage with the material. Would definitely recommend to other educators!
